The Sony Ericsson k750
The Sony Ericsson k750, in my opinion, is one of the best phones I've ever posessed. The keys last, the screen lasts, and so does the camera - a 2-megapixel quick-response image-recorder. My phone has been dropped, thrown, kicked, in the water, out of the water, stolen in the middle of Africa, returned from the middle of Africa, been wiped, unlocked, hacked, cracked, virused, and tampered with several times, has seen 3 different SIM cards - sometimes swapped several times a day - and it's working after a Master Reset. All that in just the last two years. In fact, the only thing about the k750i that I don't like is the joystick. After a while, the up-down sensors on mine started giving way - to the point where pushing down made the screen jump _up_. But apart from that, I consider it an excellent phone. It's MIDP2, which means it can run most of the latest Java mobile software with no fuss. The software is very reliable, and doesn't crash often. And it's a robust little thing, able to take years of physical abuse, and still be faithful to functionality. However, the k750 will no doubt be phased out with the next generation of Sony Ericssons. But I'm sure that other k750 owners out there will agree that it's simply a darn good phone. |
